This print is part of the Artist Support Pledge. The coronavirus pandemic and the economic slowdown it has caused is a significant problem for independent makers and artists, who are struggling to keep afloat as people stop buying. #ArtistSupportPledge, a movement which has emerged to help artists support one another. The online marketplace is the brainchild of Sussex-based artist Matthew Burrows, who had the idea to create an online support system for artists whose sales have been affected.

It works like this: Artists post pictures of their art for sale, costing £200 or less, using the hashtag #artistsupportpledge. For every five sales an artist makes, or £1000, they then pledge to purchase a work from a fellow artist, continuing the flow of sales.
